MEET THE CLUB’S TEAM OF CULINARY EXPERTS

World-class dining is a cornerstone of the membership experience and The Concours Club is proud to have assembled some of South Florida’s most sensational culinary talent to develop its food and beverage program. The hand-picked team is comprised of award-winning Chef Brad Kilgore, Executive Chef Craig Giunta, and Michelin-starred, Master Sommelier, Daniel Pilkey.  The Club's exceptional dining and cultural experiences place Verge at The Concours Club on par with some of world’s finest dining establishments.

CHEF BRAD KILGORE, CULINARY DIRECTOR

Brad Kilgore is an Internationally-renowned chef whose accolades speak for themselves: 2016 Food & Wine Magazine's “Best New Chef in the Country”, James Beard Award nominee for the "Best Chef South", and multiple nods for "Best Chef in Miami." 


Kilgore started his career at the 3-star Michelin-rated restaurants in Chicago, Alinea and L2O. Kilgore continued his rise to prominence as Executive Sous Chef at EPIC in Chicago before making his move to Miami where he worked at Azul in the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and as Executive Chef under Jean George Vongerichten at J&G Grill. From there, he pioneered creative dining in Wynwood at critically-acclaimed Alter.


Brad's eclectic menu at Verge will be ever-evolving, featuring comfort food that everyone knows and loves while adding his signature flair.

EXECUTIVE CHEF CRAIG GIUNTA

With more than a decade of experience in fine Italian cuisine, The Concours Club's Executive Chef, Craig Giunta, is an exceptional addition to the Club’s culinary program. With experience from Michelin-rated Eleven Madison Park and previously serving as sous chef at Felix Trattoria – Venice Beach’s famous “pasta palace” – and was the Chef de Cuisine at Macchialina Taverna Rustica in Miami, which Time Out named one of America’s top 20 Italian restaurants. 


Craig has lifelong passion for artisanal hand-made pasta and created over 20 unique shapes at Verge.



MASTER SOMMELIER, FOOD & BEVERAGE LIASION, DAN PILKEY

Dan Pilkey’s insatiable passion for wine started at 14 with a job at Wente Vineyards. Over the next two-and-a-half decades, he earned multiple 2-Star Michelin awards, brokered renegade Greek and French portfolios, organized Chicago’s most elite blind tasting group, and most recently managed the Midwest market for Paul Hobbs’s iconic portfolio of vineyards and wineries. 


As Master Sommelier and The Concours Club's Food & Beverage Liasion, Dan leads the club’s wine and spirits program as he continues to work closely with the UK’s esteemed Institute of Masters of Wine. 

WORLD-CLASS DINING

Verge, the resort's exclusive restaurant, is now open to members and guests. Located within the Member Lounge, Verge offers an evolving menu curated by Chef Brad Kilgore. The Venetian plaster, diamond-stitched leather and Japanese oak create a welcoming environment. The private dining space and unique artwork, are a few of the details that make this space truly special. 


The eclectic menu features sophisticated American cuisine and an unparalleled wine and spirits program hand-picked by Master Sommelier, Dan Pilkey. Members and guests can enjoy comforting favorites with fresh seasonal ingredients elevated by Chef Kilgore’s creative flair. Think fresh truffles on pizza, handpicked salad greens, locally sourced steaks, handmade pastas and even a signature olive-fed Waygu beef burger.


The Concours Club's culinary team is currently developing Verge's jet catering services which will be piloted at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport.

COMING SOON: AUTO LOFTS

The Concours Club offers a wide range of vehicle storage options, from secured individual spaces to fully finished Auto Loft garages. Designed by DMAC Architecture, the circuit-side Auto Lofts will offer another dimension of privacy, providing members with a space to store, admire their collection and entertain guests directly above the circuit. More details about the Auto Lofts with be released to members in the coming weeks.

EVENTS

THE CONCOURS CLUB & FERRARI CHALLENGE OPENING CELEBRATION

This past June, The Concours Club celebrated its official opening in partnership with Ferrari Challenge North America. The opening celebration took place over the course of five days kicking off with the Ferrari Challenge Race, followed by an evening of culinary experiences and entertainment hosted at The Four Seasons Hotel at The Surf Club. The weekend concluded at The Concours Club featuring exclusive performances by Flo Rida and DJ Irie, brunch from Verge, Ferrari Challenge open-lapping, a Ferrari car show,  and hot laps for members and guests in the Ferrari SF90. 

FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION

This Independence Day, The Veterans Trust was invited to join members for lunch and hot laps at The Concours Club. The Veterans Trust travels the country providing veterans, first responders and their loved ones with life-changing driving experiences, and The Concours Club was honored to host them on our nation’s birthday.

THE SEED SCHOOL GRADUATION

The Concours Club was honored to host a graduation ceremony for the first graduating class of The SEED School Miami. The SEED School offers an immersive, 24-hour learning environment for children in need. The ceremony featured a keynote address from Bill Lester, who raced with NASCAR and IMSA for over a decade. Congratulations to this year’s graduates, 100% of whom were accepted to two- and four-year colleges!

MEMBER SPEC RACING SERIES

 The Concours Club's Member Racing Series will see drivers compete in identical factory-built BMW M2 CSRs. The series will keep the adrenaline flowing and showcase the Club’s competitive lifestyle. The series will be broadcast to members and edited into personalized highlight reels. Stay tuned for updates regarding launch of this exciting series.

FERRARI CHALLENGE

Jason McCarthy #15 - Trofeo Pirelli, AM1 Class

Jason McCarthy is currently leading the Championship in the Trofeo Pirelli AM1 Class with 7 wins and multiple pole positions.


Dave Musial #30 - Trofeo Pirelli, AM1 Class

Continuing his push, Dave Musial rounded out the top 3  in Miami. He also finished P3 at Indianapolis.

Dave Musial Jr. #130 - Coppa Shell, S Class

Winning his second pole of the season, Dave Musial Jr. pulled past Chris Aitken to finish P1 at Watkins Glen, putting him at the top of his class.


Sureel Choksi #173 - Coppa Shell, S Class

Sureel takes the podium at Watkins Glen in the Coppa Shell class, after going head to head with Ben Bergeron.

HELIO WINS HIS FOURTH INDY 500 & ENTERS THE MOTORSPORTS HALL OF FAME

Helio Castroneves made history after winning his fourth Indianapolis 500 race. He is now one of four drivers to win "The Greatest Spectacle in Racing" four times. Castroneves, claimed his first three wins in 2001, 2002 and 2009 with Team Penske, and his 4th win with Meyer Shank Racing. 


Not only did Castroneves make history, but recently has been inducted into the Motorsports Hall of Fame of America class of 2022.

PORSCHE CUP

Juan Pablo Martinez is now the Porsche Cup Silver Class points leader. He has three more chances to secure his lead at Indianapolis In September, VIRginia International Raceway in October and then Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta for the series finale in November.

IMSA PROTOTYPE CHALLENGE

Joe Robillard is competing in the IMSA Prototype Challenge in the #43 car. Robillard currently races with his co-pilot Stevan McAleer in the P3-1 class. On July 2nd they competed at Watkins Glen international and will be competing at VIRginia International Raceway in October and finishing the season off at Road Atlanta in November.

ROAD TO LE MANS & INTERNATIONAL GT OPEN

Michael Dinan and co-pilot Ahmad Al Harthy secured P2 for Oman Racing at the Road To Le Mans race. Dinan started the race from the fourth row in the #95 Aston Martin Vantage GT3, and climbed his way to the top four on the first lap before breaking into the podium.


Michael is also competing in the International GT Open with co-pilot Robby Foley in the Ferrari 488 GT3 Evo for Kessel Racing, marking their debut with a podium finish in the PRO class at Budapest.

ROLEX  MONTEREY MOTORSPORTS REUNION

Nelson Calle recently participated in the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion. Calle raced at the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca taking home P1 in his 1967 Porsche 911 . The Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion is one of North America’s biggest and best historic events.

INSTRUCTORS IN COMPETITION

Ozz Negri Jr. participated in  the Asian Le Mans Series this past February. He piloted the #51 AF Corse Ferrari 488 GT3 with co-pilots, Francesco Piovanetti and Alessandro Pier Guidi. 


Pierre Kleinubing is currently driving the #14 Toyota Supra GT4 and participating in the Grand Sport (GS) class of the Michelin Pilot Challenge series.


Robby Foley is currently driving the #96 BMW M4 GT4 and is participating in the Michelin Pilot Challenge GS class.  In addition, he also competes in  IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship with  the Turner Motorsport BMW M6 GT. Foley is also driving with Michael Dinan in the International GT Open series mentioned above. 


CONCOURS SIGHTINGS

LAMBORGHINI DIABLO GT

The Diablo GT was one of Lamborghini's first road cars to use carbon fiber extensively and remains the fastest road-going Diablo ever made by Lamborghini.


Equipped with a massive 6 liter V12 that develops 567 HP, and has a Carbon fiber bodywork which reduces its overall weight by 300 pounds.

MERCEDES AMG-GT BLACK SERIES

The all new AMG-GT Black series is the sixth Black Series to be produced by the legendary AMG factory. A twin-turbo V-8 generating 720 horsepower. The black series is  directly inspired by the AMG GT3 race cars, and has a plethora of changes that set it apart from any other AMG GT, including the wild GT R.

PORSCHE KREMER 962C

The Porsche Kremer 962 is a sports-prototype racing car built by Porsche as a replacement for the 956. The 962 quickly became one of the most dominant cars in motorsport. Championships included the WSC title in 1985/86, the IMSA GT title every year from 1985-88, all four years of the Supercup series (1986 to 1989), and the All Japan Sports Prototype Championship from 1985 until 1989. The 962 also won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1986 and 1987, and was unbeatable in the American IMSA series into the 90’s. The Porsche Kremer 962 pictured finished 4th at Le Mans in 1987 and is  owned by  Founding Member Tom Shannon.

His piece captures the convenience of touching down at Opa Locka and hitting the circuit within minutes, followed by catered recovery and world-class dining that includes "a burger good enough to fly across the country for."
